How Artists Can Get Screwed On Social Media

I received permission from Nate to post this...Artists - you need to pay attention to what is happening as did Nate. This well written post explains it all. For the uninitiated, Nate Harasim is a prolific contemporary instrumental musician and producer but he gets that this is indeed a business. You should too.

Be well,
Brent
PLEASE SHARE THIS.
Here's the deal folks - I've gone to YouTube and reported everybody (EVERYBODY - it took 13 hours) for uploading my music . Excuses like we're helping you promote so on and so forth are ridiculous. One vid had 14000 views and the perp was collecting ad monies on my song... I and my label will continue to monitor YouTube and will continue to get your accounts blocked and deleted PERIOD. Don't care who you are, who you think you are or what you think your doing. I love my fans, I love the support but don't love people taking my music, my property end of story. If you need music to play behind a photographers copy write infringed photo pay me to write and produce custom stuff after paying the photographer, that'll cost ya 4 grand.
There Ya have it .. the price for a tune and what the honest legit thing to do would be. Easy ain't it.
DO NOT USE MY MUSIC ON YOUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL UNLESS I GIVE YOU PERMISSION. DO NOT POST YOUTUBE MUSIC OF NATE HARASIM I UPLOADED IT AND IS LINKED TO MY CHANNEL AND I OR MY LABEL UPLOADED IT.
THANKS
YOUR FRIENDLY ARTIST/PRODUCER NATE HARASIM
