The beast of the B-3, Tony Monaco is back with arguably his finest release yet!

Tony Monaco is a harmonic chameleon so what better guitarist to join him on Furry Slippers than the improvisational and classical virtuoso style of Fareed Haque. Greg Fundis on drums and Asako Monaco on piano round out the rhythm section for a soulful riff on some standards and originals that keep a laid back vibe running over a rich color palette of a blues you can use. Furry Slippers reinvent chill by making old school new cool!
"Chillin'" almost hits that NOLA sound yet the vibrant sound is all Tony Monaco. "Blue Boogie" goes more straight ahead with a lyrical sense of purpose yet a nuanced texture to keep the mood vibrant but dialed down ever so slightly. "Speak Low" is a lyrical conversation where all the participants are given ample opportunity to stretch out while Monaco keeps the ensemble fully grounded in the land of rhythm and blues.
With organ quartets it simply does not get much better than this. A classic sound punched up for the next generation by a master craftsman!
