Simplicity is the ultimate in sophistication!

This is the Tierney Sutton release you have been waiting on. Literally this is a release that is almost too perfect for public consumption. Lighting in a bottle with everyone from accompanists to producers and arrangers bringing their A game. Voice? Sure...Tierney Sutton is one of the best but she never just sings the notes, she makes the music.
"Body and Soul" along with "You Must Believe In Spring" allow the release to take flight but instead of phoning a dozen standards in, Sutton goes deep catalog with gems like "All Too Soon" and "Don't Go To Strangers." Too perfect? Actually yes, a little edge and soul would have been nice. Sutton's wheelhouse is a pristine vocal interpretation of standards both old and new that are enticing to be kind.
Very little wrong here and to harp would in fact be hypercritical.
