The Liver Chronicles - Any Port In A Thyroid Storm

I had a bad feeling going into the thyroid biopsy this morning...A routine procedure but not without risk. While as painful as any procedure I ever had, I went into what they call a thyroid storm that they didn't think they would be able to control. I remember hearing the doctor say, "He is in trouble." Here I am...

I've cheated death four times in two years. Not proud of it, just saying.

My intention is to not write anything till Monday, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. My neck feels like it had a colonoscopy and I'm so tired that a nap might stretch into Saturday. These experiences are strange, you never know what you can endure till you have to. I appreciate the music more now than ever but still know that my time is coming to an end - one way or the other. I'm not scared though, nothing scares me. It is what it is.

I wouldn't wish this journey on my worst enemy and I wouldn't trade it for a million dollars. Life lessons are like that.

Be well,
