Longevity normally comes with a heavy price tag in the music industry. Covered In Gold would seem to be more of a celebration than a commiseration of shared struggle. This 14 track release covers a variety of influences that have shaped the sound of this cult favorite with notables tunes including "Stone Cold Crazy" from Queen along with the Price classic "When Doves Cry" and a more eclectic tune "Run For Your Life" from the Beatles.
This modern accessible hard rock with a few well placed pop overtones and a little glam tossed in just to keep things interesting. This critically acclaimed band has evolved and occasionally reshuffled the lineup while always keeping the sound fresh, current and geared to the fans. Covered In Gold is certainly no exception. A great collection of rock covers that have not been beaten to death is breathing new life into some album rock favorites!
