I don't know of another label with the talent for a legit "Super Band" outside of Mack Avenue!

Super groups are rare and rarely work well as a mass collective of egos is normally fraught with peril of epic proportions. Mack Avenue has meticulously put together a collective at the Detroit Jazz Festival that continues to amaze and delight thousands of fans across the globe. The talent writes their own review and includes such legends and up and coming stars such as Gary Burton, Alfredo Rodriguez and Cecile McLorin Salvant.
The tunes included are a magnificent mix of history both past and present with "Soul Sister" and "Senor Mouse" leading the charge along with "Two Bass Hit" and "I Want Jesus To Walk With Me." The sound quality is first rate. In terms of live recordings of improvisational music, The Detroit Jazz Festival and The Mack Avenue SuperBand are first rate!
