In May 2013, McFerrin appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to promote his Sony Masterworks album, Spirityouall, performing a selection from the album with Questlove and The Roots. Most recently, in March 2014, McFerrin and Questlove collaborated for an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, performing the McFerrin staple, "Drive."
The show is part of the fourth annual, 2014 Blue Note Jazz Festival, scheduled to take place June 1-30, with over the 150 performances at more than 15 venues throughout New York City. Serving as the city's largest jazz festival, this year's edition puts a prime focus on unique and distinctive collaborations, featuring other unique pairings such as the world premiere of André Previn & Christian McBride (produced by Jill Newman Productions) as well as Ramsey Lewis with Philip Bailey of Earth, Wind & Fire, among many others.
