From Michael Gallant...

Dear Friends,

Earlier this year, I had the very fun opportunity to jam with Lady Gaga keyboardist Brockett Parsons at the Winter NAMM trade show, shown above, courtesy of photographer extraordinaire Ashley Neuhof. I'm excited to share some new videos from NAMM and beyond, plus details about my first New York City trio performance of 2014.
Michael Gallant Trio at Tomi Jazz: Next Tuesday

While writing a DownBeat magazine article on Japanese pop-star-turned-jazz-pianist Senri Oe, I first heard about about the funky, underground sake bar / jazz venue Tomi Jazz, in New York's Midtown East.
Tomi is a wonderful spot and I'm excited to be playing my first show there - with the expert help of Dmitry Ishenko on bass and Rob Mitzner on drums - a week from today.
Tuesday, March 11, 8:00-11:00 p.m.
239 East 53rd Street, Lower Level
New York City
No cover; $5 food/drink minimum
I'll be playing plenty of material from Completely, along with a few brand new compositions and arrangements.

New Yorkers, please join us! If you're too far away, any help spreading the word to local and like-minded music lovers would be wonderful.
New Videos from NAMM and Fall 2013 Tour
Also at the Winter NAMM show, I was fortunate to log time testing out some truly beautiful concert grand pianos for Keyboard magazine. Here are videos of me getting to know instruments by Ravenscroft and Yamaha:

Also, at long last, here's a brand new video from my Fall tour show at Bethesda Blues and Jazz. The tune is an original called "Returned"; it didn't appear on "Completely," but it's one I hope to record for the next trio album.

Thanks as always for listening, reading, watching, and supporting this music. I look forward to seeing many of you at Tomi very soon!
