A collector's edition recording not to be missed!

Re-issues and collector's edition recordings are everywhere and if you are fortunate enough to have a real brick and mortar store in your city then you may have noticed that most are relatively inexpensive. I checked on Amazon on their list for this CD with two bonus DVD's along with extensive liner notes is less than the price of a new release and lacks nothing in quality. Three icons headline this package and they are Grammy winner and NEA Jazz Master Clark Terry, NEA Jazz Master clarinetist Buddy DeFranco and one of the legends of vibes in the fabulous Terry Gibbs, DownBeat's #1 Vibraphonist for five years!

Clark shines on a melancholy version of "Topsy" while Gibbs lengthy solo on the classic "Love For Sale" is nothing short of a master class for any wind player. Buddy DeFranco pulls out all the stops on "Liza" while premier vocalist Jackie Ryan adds the perfect finishing touches. The band Swing Fever is the perfect canvas for these stellar artists to paint their own lyrical pictures from a time when melody and improvisation took precedent of flash and the never ending search for "stardom."

"Speak Low" along with "Body and Soul" and "Love For Sale" are just some of the highlights of a package with plenty of bang for the buck!
