The Queen of Rockabilly pays more than fitting tribute to Jack White!

If RollingStone.com can take a look at this release then that is good enough for me. Rockabilly First Lady Wanda Jackson brings together some legends to make new memories as the music of Jack White gets a much needed dust off and recognition that has been long overdue.
Jack White may well be the god father of modern alternative rock as we know it and here we have talent such as Gary U.S. Bonds and Sonny Burgess reminding us just how good raw can really be. Think of the Sun Sessions on steroids and you may be getting warm. Musical diversity here is through the roof with a sonic spectrum that runs from rockabilly to punk and from neo surf to old school country this is a musical smorgasbord ripe for the picking!
Other notables as this one of a kind collection include Bobby Vee, Joe Clay, and Shooter Jennings. The tunes here may be unfamiliar to some, the spirit and the energy contained within the release more than make up for any unfamiliarity. In jazz, artists such as Wynton Marsalis speak of "roots music" and this concept is broad based in nature and Rockin' Legends is part of that great history!
