The Obama Economy and the Liberal Media

I found the story listed below on Yahoo News. The amazing thing is that I am often mistaken as a Conservative when in fact I am an Independent that simply looks at common sense and basic math to know the Obama Economy is like a terminally ill person on life support.

I recently received an email (nasty gram) from an individual that said I gave out too many five star reviews - yet he continues to read me in an effort to find out "what is out there." The irony being that a.) he is right - I don't review what I consider substandard work and b.) upon publication of numerous reviews I then see some major publications following closely behind. Cause and effect? Maybe...

This person then went on to add he did not care for what he called my "childish rants" against the current administration. Hmmm. I wonder what his reaction would be if his freedom of speech was challenged? Given Obama has signed two executive orders limiting both protest and Internet access during times of emergency while never clearly defining what an emergency is - his reaction would be a chuckle feast I am sure....

I would challenge you to read the story below. If Obama wins and the deficit increases and more taxes and penalties and levied against those that have worked hard and made the right decisions there will be businesses closing by the hundreds.

Since most of my "audience" are musicians think about it from this perspective. You spend 30 years playing clubs and you land a lucrative record deal, TV show, or maybe a commercial. How would you feel if the Federal Government stepped in and took it away only to give it to someone that had not worked near as hard or was as near as talented as you?

They call it discrimination.  I face it everyday from contemporaries that don't read what I write. They assume. Obama can not sign an executive order to keep this company or any other company open. Think about it.

From Yahoo News....

David Siegel, the owner of Westgate Resorts, sent a surprising email to his employees Monday.
It said that if President Barack Obama wins re-election and raises Siegel's taxes, he will have to lay off workers and downsize his company - or even shut it down.
"If any new taxes are levied on me, or my company, as our current President plans, I will have no choice but to reduce the size of this company," he wrote. "Rather than grow this company I will be forced to cut back. This means fewer jobs, less benefits and certainly less opportunity for everyone."

In a version of Romney's "47 percent" remarks, Siegel added that "people like me who made all the right decisions and invested in themselves are being forced to bail out all the people who didn't. The people that overspent their paychecks suddenly feel entitled to the same luxuries that I earned and sacrificed 42 years of my life for."
The points are ones that have often been made during this election. But what makes the letter surprising is the source.
