A Critical Perspective: Keith Olbermann and how not to use social media.

It still amazes me that no matter which side of the political fence you chose to sit there are artists and personalities that insist their opinion on the political climate is of vital importance to you. Let's take a quick look at Keith Olberman. From ESPN to network news reporter/anchor, Olberman insists on airing his opinions with the end result being losing more jobs that I have probably held for reasons that run from gross misconduct to ethical conflict of interest concerns. Olberman has an "in your face" approach that while passionate is the journalistic equivalent of winning a battle and losing a war.

Just what you need for credibility in journalism huh?

I found this story in Yahoo news this morning which clearly shows Olbermann NOT at his best. Granted he has the same first amendment rights as anyone but the old adage, it's not what you say but how you say it rings true. When one thinks of respectable and most importantly professional journalism, Olbermann is well off the radar of most people that would look at that question with simple objectivity and logical critical thinking. If however you want your information given to you from the poor man's Bill O'Reilly then Olbermann may be your guy. I'm not saying he is wrong in his opinion he let fly over and over on twitter, I am saying it looks pathetic and bitter over his own self inflicted career wounds.
